Biographie
Avery Franklin Brooks, né le 2 octobre 1948, est un acteur américain, réalisateur, chanteur et enseignant. Il est surtout connu pour ses rôles à la télévision comme Benjamin Sisko sur Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Hawk dans Spenser: For Hire et la suite A Man Called Hawk, ainsi que comme Bob Sweeney dans le film American History X nommé aux Oscars. Il est professeur titulaire au département de théâtre de l'université Rutgers où il enseigne depuis 1976.
